New layout

…because I got so sick of looking at it when testing it for Blogger, then for Wordpress. That was an imageless layout and took me ages and ages to finish coding. @__@
I will work on another new layout when I get Photoshop on the Mac. I think it'll be image-heavy, har har har. (Challenger still won't answer my call!!!!!)

Wasted trip

Went to Challenger at Funan to get Photoshop CS3 but decided on the student edition of the Design Premium suite instead. Was told that there was no stock, but was advised to make payment first, then collect the product when it arrives next week. It wasn't until I got home that I realised that I've forgotten to tell the salesman that I was using a Mac. -_- I'm now desperately trying to get through Challenger's customer service hotline. *sulk*
I wish someone would answer the damn phone!
Anyway I have spent a lot (of my parents') money on gadgets and stuff this month and in June.

My internet speed is crawling along at under 1kb/s (I don't know why) and everything takes frustratigly long to load.
LUNCH WITH MUM AND COUSIN AT CRYSTAL JADE
I forgot to block out my mum's face so I won't post any photos of her.
XIAOLONGBAO!!! I ordered two longs (baskets) of that!
Some eggy dish that tasted pretty good. It was smooth.
Sour and spicy 'dao xiao mian' (knife shaved noodles) which was really chewy! This was good.
Chashaobao (barbecue pork buns): pretty ordinary.
I THINK this is called fupijuan, or beancurd skin roll but I'm not too sure. Well I am not a fan. It was really oily!
Chinese-style zhajiangmian. I much prefer the Korean-style one. This dish was too salty by the way.
Strawberry pudding!! I would say that was my favourite dish of yesterday, along with the xiaolongbaos haha. :D Well we did order too much (like always) and we nearly died when it dawned upon us that we still had one last dish: dessert! But well my belief is that there's always room for dessert. :D
And then it was MICHELLE'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION.
We (Xian Neng, Delwyn, Michelle, Krisah, Cybil, Dave, Jin Cheng, me, Grace, Liwen) had steamboat at Chin Huat Live Seafood.

Celebrated MichelleBB's birthday today. I'm real tired! Photos will be up soon. :)
Also: C is extremely bad at giving surprises. -_- I saw through a "surprise" she planned for me once, and her obvious lack of skeelz showed again today. Sigh. Nonetheless, I think M had a good time and that's enough. :) Happy birthday BBBM, ♥.
Just calculated how much I spent and I realised I have no money for tat. -_- I'll have to wait till I get June's pay on 24th then! Maybe I'll just get it done on my birthday instead.. Hm.
Shit tired and I am morning shift tomorrow, ohnoez! Bye.

My mother has finally accepted my decision to get inked. :'D Our conversation earlier went something like this:
M (mummy): ah girl, bai wu ni qu tattoo ah? (Ah girl, you're going to get tattooed on Friday?)
R (me): ah, dui. zuo mo leh?* (Ah, yes. Why? *zuo mo = mangled form of zuo shen me)
M: mummy pei ni qu la. (Mummy will go with you.)
R: har ni yao pei wo qu ah? (Huh you wanna accompany me?)
M: dui la! wo yao kan hao bu hao mah! (Yes! I want to see if it's good!)
R: orh okay lor, ni pei wo qu lor. (Oh okay, you go with me then.)
M: XXX shuo hor, ru guo ni yao hao de ta ke yi jie shao ni leh. (XXX says if you want a good tattooist, he can recommend someone to you. XXX = her friend/"mentor".)
R: aiyah wo dou mei you hua mao hua gou, bu yong hao de la. pu tong de jiu ke yi liao. (Aiyah I'm not getting a cat or dog 'drawn'; I don't need someone exceptionally good. Someone 'ordinary' is fine.)
After insisting that I want to get inked for just a few days (wo bu guan ni, wo jiu shi yao qu!/I don't care about you; I want to go! VS ni zui hao bu yao qu!/You better not go!), she finally gave in. My mum has never been too strict with me. Even when I was in primary school, I was allowed to make my own decisions based on my judgement. I was certainly given a lot of freedom to do what I wanted. Yet I am far from a delinquent. The reason I am not one is my mum, of course. I will not do anything that would break her heart (too much). :) ♥
I am now using Dermalogica facial products instead of The Body Shop's. I don't know if it's just my imagination, but I do think my facial condition is a tad better..
